The Gran Turismo movie depicts the true story of gamer turned racing driver Jann Mardenborough. So is it worth the hype? The Gran Turismo movie is directed by Neill Blomkamp of District 9 fame, and it stars David Harbour (Stranger Things, Black Widow) and Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean). You can spend an infinite amount of time on this game. The base game, on a TV and controller is easily worth 50 bucks. Gt7 on a wheel with vr has completely changed the way I look at video games after playing them for over 40 years. Honestly even GT7 + PSVR2 + sim rig + PS5 is worth it.

The Gran Turismo movie is being heavily marketed and portrayed as a “true story” — and it basically is! — but it’s not a story which can be entirely attributed to Jann himself. The movie makes the process look very clear cut: GT Academy was conceived, Jann wins, and he forges a new path in the racing world.
This might sound a bit weird but I'm entirely serious. A huge part of the Gran Turismo career experience is starting with an awful beater of a car from the used car dealership and slowly tune and upgrade it to many victories and a second. It's very much what makes the career mode so captivating and immerses you further into the experience.
Gran turismo 1-3 were the best. Everything after that has been either too similar to warrant a sequel, riddled with issues or held back from being the best it could be. They really lost me with Sport. GT7 doesn’t give me the whoa look at this next gen ps5 game. GT4 is still the best single player gran turismo game. I've played every GT game from the first at release (showing my age for reddit), I played GT5 and GT6 but could never get into them the same way I did GT4, I figured it was life, family, work that got in the way. Recently when GT7 came out I figured i was going to get back into the game
